Miwa Harimoto completed her own Zagreb double, winning the women’s singles in a seven-game thriller against China’s Zhu Yuling and adding the women’s doubles alongside Satsuki Odo.
The singles final swung wildly: Harimoto raced through the first three games before Zhu, the experienced former world top-tier player, reeled her back to force a decider. Harimoto held her nerve to take the seventh 12–10 — a fitting finish to the week she also climbed to a career-high world No. 3.
Doubles to match
In the women’s doubles, Harimoto and Odo won 3–0 over the Korean pair of Lee and Choi, making the teenager one of two players — with Lim Jonghoon — to leave Zagreb with two titles.
