Japan’s Satsuki Odo was the class of the women’s draw at WTT Contender Skopje 2026, winning the title with a straight-games victory over compatriot Honoka Hashimoto in the final: 11–7, 11–9, 11–7, 11–3.
Seeded as the tournament favourite at world No. 13, Odo justified the billing in a draw that featured 20 players ranked inside the world’s top 50. The all-Japan final underlined the depth of the women’s game outside China at the Contender level.
Part of a busy spring
Odo’s Skopje title was one strand of an excellent run on the circuit that also brought a Contender singles crown earlier in the season and a doubles title alongside Miwa Harimoto in Zagreb.
